Installation:

Installation is pretty straight forward if you are comfortable with common hand tools as all of the hardware is supplied. The most daunting task might be drilling a 7/8' hole in your sink or counter top. That's only if there's no hole for a sprayer. However if you're up to it a heavy-duty hand drill and suitable hole bit will do the trick. If overwhelmed a plumber can install it for you at a reasonable rate.

Usage:

Unlike other faucet filtration systems that attach to the faucet directly the AQ-4501 is stand alone. Meaning whenever you use hot water it doesn't need to be bypassed to protect the filter element. Just turn the knob and you're good to go.

Cons:

One of the things that might discourage purchase is the fact that in order to install the stand alone faucet a 7/8inch hole may need to be drilled in the sink or counter top. While not difficult some may be daunted by this task.

On the whole the majority of people were quite satisfied with the Aquasana AQ-4501 Under Counter Water Filter System. Most problems suffered were minor and had little impact with the AQ-4501 performance. If you're truly concerned about water quality, I recommend the Aquasana AQ-4501 Complete Under Counter Water System.
